On May 12, the 2021-2022 “Guangdong Smart Retail Operation and Management” Competition was held successfully online. The team composed of Wu Daoxian, Lin Xiaodong and Li Linxuan from the Marketing major of the School of Management stood out of the 57 participating teams in the province and won the first prize with excellent results of the third place in the provincial competition.
This competition was originally scheduled to be held offline in May 2021 at the Guangzhou Panyu Polytechnic, but was postponed several times due to the COVID-19. The format of the competition changed greatly, and the training difficulty was significantly increased than usual. Under the patient guidance of the marketing director Sun Yaohua and the professional teacher Zhu Yuxi, the three students always maintained an optimistic attitude, overcame difficulties and trained hard.
During the four-hour competition, the three students with solid basic knowledge and perseverance gave satisfactory answers, which fully demonstrated the strength and style of SZPT students.
The Marketing major takes vocational skills competition as the starting point, and adheres to the concept of “promoting teaching, learning and reform through competition” to strengthen the training of skilled and professional talents, and drive the reform and innovation development of the professional talent training mode.
