On June 18, the 13thLan Qiao Cup National Software and Information Technology Professionals Competition ushered in the peak battle -- the National Final. A total of 11,061 top participants from 1,064 colleges and universities, including Peking University, Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and University of Science and Technology of China, gathered to compete for the championship in the Lan Qiao Cup National Final. 40 students from the School of Artificial Intelligence participated in competitions of seven university groups, i.e. Python Program Design, C/C++ Program Design, Java Software Development and Web Application Development, and won 7 first prizes (the highest award), 13 second prizes and 7 third prizes in the Higher Vocational Group C; there were 1 second prize and 3 third prizes in the Undergraduate Group B, with 31 winners in total. Among them, Meng Jiabin won the first prize of the highest awards in the University Group C of Python Program Design.
In February 2020, Lan Qiao Cup was successfully selected into the National Ranking of Subject Competition in Colleges and Universities released by the China Association of Higher Education. The ranking was developed and released by the “College Competition Evaluation and Management System” expert working group of the China Association of Higher Education to provide basic reference information for colleges and universities to improve the quality of talent training, regarded as one of important standards for the evaluation of colleges and universities and their majors.
