On December 22, the inauguration ceremony of the Industrial Internet Research Institute was held in Conference Room 101, Mingde Building, Liuxiandong Campus. The institute was jointly established by EVOC Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Polytechnic. Vice President Lin Shimei and Party Secretary Chen Junhui of EVOC Intelligent, Party Secretary Yang Xinbin and President Xu Jianling of Shenzhen Polytechnic, as well as leaders from relevant functional departments, schools, and research institutes of both sides attended the signing ceremony. Dong Chaojun, Vice President of Shenzhen Polytechnic, presided over the inauguration ceremony.
Xu Jianling said in his speech that EVOC Group is a leading enterprise in the special computer industry and the largest high-tech enterprise in China in research, development, manufacturing, sales, and system integration of special computers. In recent years, it has carried out a number of fruitful cooperation with Shenzhen Polytechnic in many fields such as the joint undertaking of national science and technology special projects, workshop resource management, agile manufacturing, and 5G edge computing. The official inauguration of the Industrial Internet Research Institute is not only a concrete initiative to fully implement the strategic cooperation agreement between the two sides, but also marks the cooperation into a brand new stage. Xu Jianling hoped that the two sides take the opportunity to build a joint research institute, based on the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, to carry out fruitful bilateral cooperation around the frontier technology field of industrial Internet, centering on scientific and technological innovation and talent cultivation, and focusing on technology application research and development, professional co-construction and resource sharing.
The Guiding Opinions of the State Council on Developing the Industrial Internet advocates "vigorously promoting the cooperation between enterprises, universities and research institutes in the field of industrial Internet, strengthening the construction of industrial Internet-related disciplines; vigorously cultivating industrial Internet technical, application-oriented, and innovative talents". Shenzhen Polytechnic and EVOC Intelligent will combine their respective advantages, based on the platform of the Industrial Internet Research Institute, to carry out multi-faceted and multi-level cooperation in promoting scientific research output, helping to train talents, and establishing cooperation benchmarks. By summing up and distilling the cooperation experience, the university-enterprise strategic cooperation model can be replicated and promoted, and the benchmark of cooperation between vocational colleges and first-class enterprises can be set up. The two sides will create a model of school-enterprise resource sharing, mutual benefit, and win-win situation to achieve complementary advantages, resource sharing, and common development.
