School of Art & Design Teachers and Students Win Prizes of the National Industrial Design Vocational Skills Competition

Recently, the 2021 National Industry Vocational Skills Competition - National Industrial Design Vocational Skills Competition Finals, sponsored by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and China National Light Industry Council, and hosted by the Light Industry Vocational Ability Assessment Center of China National Light Industry Council, Shenzhen Longhua District People's Government, Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality, and Industry and Information Technology Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality, came to a successful conclusion in Longhua, Shenzhen. The participants from the School of Art and Design of Shenzhen Polytechnic achieved excellent results: Guo Haoran and Liu Jiawei of Arts and Crafts Design won the championship of Ceramic Product Designer Contest (first prize, under the guidance of Zhou Hanxin and Yang Shiru); Liu Jinghong of Environmental Art Design won the second prize of Furniture Designer Contest (second prize, under the guidance of Zhang Yu and Chen Jinqiu); Mr. Zhou Hanxin won the title of Excellent Coach.

The competition is the first national vocational skills competition in China's industrial design industry, with contests in five segments, including jewelry designer, furniture designer, ceramic product designer, footwear designer and non-destructive tester (reverse design and 3D inspection). The competition is divided into staff and student competition groups, with a total of 600 contestants from 31 provincial level divisions and light industry teams to participate in the fierce finals.
